Family Day is the very first holiday of the year, and the perfect time to gather up your loved ones and spend the day at one of Surrey’s many Family Day events. From recreation centres to heritage sites, there’s a LOT to do and discover this February 13th!

Every year on Family Day, (the second Monday of February) the Ocean Park Community Association along with Physiomoves hosts the “Amazing Race in Ocean Park Village“. This fun, family event has become the signature event of the Village and one that is looked forward to every year. The event involves families racing around the Village … Village and one that is looked forward to every year. The event involves families racing around the Village and successfully completing challenges in order to make it back to the Ocean Park Hall in first place. Participants are provided the race challenge cards at the beginning at race registration. Some of the challenge are self-led, others are hosted by business owners or neighbours. Post-race, participants gather at the Ocean Park Hall, receive their awards and celebrate each others victories. Click Here to register for the race, and to read all the event details. Create-It Emporium is excited to announced its first canvas painting class for families! The class will run two hours with a break for snacks and drinks that will be provided. Class is limited to 20 participants, and each child (6 years+) must be accompanied by an adult. Each participant will create their own 16x20 masterpiece …v style="text-align: left;" align="center">

Celebrate Family Day at the Surrey Nature Centre. Join us for a nature walk, story time and a variety of indoor and outdoor nature exploration. There’s something for everyone. This event is free and drop-in friendly.
