Welcome to Tourism Surrey’s Media Resource Centre
There aren’t many cities quite like Surrey. Surrey is one of the fastest growing municipalities around, and it doesn’t take long to understand exactly why over half a million people call Surrey their home. Over 1,000 people make the move to Surrey each month, and soon discover the quirks and charms of the city. Surrey is rich in history, culture, and international flair, playing host annually to cultural events and celebrations. Surrey residents and champions are fiercely proud of the small town feel that such a geographically large city is able to create.
Formerly known as the City of Parks, the natural beauty that surrounds the city is astounding. Agriculture, urban parks, beaches, lakes, and some of the best golf courses in the Metro Vancouver Area are inherent to Surrey, making it a nature lover’s paradise.
Surrey has a lot to offer and a lot to celebrate, and does so frequently. There’s always something going on in the city, from a farmers market to a one of a kind music festival featuring the biggest artists of the time. There’s a buzz in the air, and it’s something that needs to be experienced. From premier athletic facilities, to beautiful outdoor venues, Surrey plays host to some electric events, making this the place you need to be.
We have developed this Media Resource Centre as a support service for local, national and international media. In addition to the information provided in the links on the right of your screen, we are also available to help with itinerary planning, fact checking, story ideas and image and b-roll requests.
